Strong sulfur smell is the only downside and it seems to fade quickly. On my skin, the formula is gentle. I haven't had any redness or "purging." Dramatic improvement about 2~weeks after incorporating it.

I'm almost a month in and I can see a difference. There is absolutely a purging period with this so be ready. And aside from purging, my skin was pretty sensitive and peeling (similar to a sunburn) for awhile, especially in the first couple of weeks. But I am seeing results which is worth the initial uncomfort in my opinion.

I have been using this formula for almost a month daily at night. I enjoy using this formula overall as it has been helping with my acne prone skin to stay calm with minimum active acnes. The only downside would be having a little dry patch around my jaw and lips corner which isn't really bothersome, but I do notice it.
Doxycycline is a miracle worker for my face.
